I love wish bones, their talismanic quality, the beauty of the form, a few years ago i collected lots of them and made my very own wishing line, covered some in fabric, and also a wishhing egg.
My friend Iris once said to me "You know how to be happy from so many things", and I would have to say she's right, I can take delight in just about anything that is beautiful, asthetically pleaseing or sensory. the smell of a rose, the taste of cherries, a tiny fragment of stitched fabric, a moth, bones, flaked painting in an old italian church. I love stitching and the world i enter through the repetitive focus of stitching, like meditation but with an end piece. i love text and textile and where they meet and have quite a fetish for needles and pins and of course bones.
